The Great Gatsby Jewels...

With the release of the highly anticipated Great Gatsby this weekend, we have been inspired by the decadent glamour of the 20's!

From the opening scene, Daisy Buchanan was adorned in Tiffany diamonds and pearls!

We absolutely love this era of style and the film oozed Hollywood glamour with flapper dresses, feathers and furs!

Swarovski Crystal Rings

When we are designing and making jewellery we love adding crystals to certain pieces. Not only do they add a bit of sparkle but they come in a variety of colours!

Crystals are used in jewellery making not only because they look pretty, but many believe they have healing powers and different meanings.

At Orli Jewellery, we have a collection of gemstone rings made from Swarovski Crystals which can be stacked or worn separately as a statement piece.

Below is our amethyst gemstone ring - which is lilac and traditionally worn to guard against drunkenness and to instill a sober mind. 

Another popular gemstone is the aquamarine - which is a beautiful blue/green colour. It is sometimes called 'Water of the Sea' because it was traditionally associated as being a protector stone for sailors. However it is also said to be a gemstone which will pick up your spirts!

Trend Alert!

With so much happening in the fashion world over the past couple of weeks - it's been a highly exciting time for fashionistas!

Two of the biggest trends, which we have spotted at London Fashion Week and at The Brit Awards last night, are the monochrome look and black and gold.

Celebrities such as Jessie J and Taylor Swift were rocking the black and gold look on the red carpet last night at The Brit Awards.
